This coat is called “Firebird Sweet”, inspired by the orchestral music of Stravinsky and the legendary bird called the phoenix or firebird, who rose from the ashes. Feel like one in a million, stand out from the crowd in this long hooded sweater coat! This is a beautiful blend of reds, burgundy, oranges, and yellow with deep purple stitching. There are soft cashmeres, boldly textured cottons, heavy felted cable knit waistband that is lined for extra support, ribbed knits, a textured yellow satin with a scattering of iridescent sequins, and the bodice is made from a boiled wool jacket with figure-flattering princess seams. The coat buttons up the front with 11 custom-made fiery mosaic buttons of polymer clay. Long sleeves have thumbholes, which can be used to keep your hands warm while texting, but pushed up to the wrist when eating. There is a tie belt in front for extra cinching of your waist. Front of skirt has a special pocket made with a beautiful embroidered phoenix that emphasizes the colors of the coat. Dramatic hood has an extra-long tail which can be wrapped around the neck like a scarf, and is tipped with a matching tassel bound with vintage trim. The skirt is bordered with three bands and is a bit on the heavy, but warm and cozy side, and not for those with wool allergies
This will fit a medium to large sized woman, and here are the measurements.
Bust: 40″ to 44″ stretched
Waist: 34″ – 37″
Sleeve length: 25″
Length of bodice: 17″
Length of skirt from below waistband: 30″
All sweaters have been prewashed in my own organic soap mixture and hot water, then dried in a hot dryer for maximum shrinkage, and can safely be machine laundered on cold delicate wash. A warm or cool gentle air setting in a dryer is safe or lay flat, NEVER hang to dry. I recommend storing flat, not hanging. Dry cleaning is not recommended due to the polymer clay buttons.
